Rental Process

We appreciate all of our Tenants and strive to develop long-term relationships.  It is our desire for your rental experience to be a pleasant one.  Hodge Realty adheres to the SC Residential Landlord and Tenant Act as well as the Fair Housing Act.  All prospective Tenants will be screened using the same criteria.  
 

To Apply for a Property:

  • Click on Apply Now to access the application
  • Complete the Application, be sure to click the blue text for additional fields
  • You will receive an email from SmartMove by Transunion with instructions to complete the credit/background check.  You will be charged a fee of $15 for the credit/background check.  You will have an opportunity to review the results before sharing with Hodge Realty.
  • Applications without complete credit/background check will NOT be considered.
  • After the credit/background check is submitted, you will be notified about your approval.  If approved, you will be given an opportunity to sign a lease for the property.  Properties will not be held without a signed lease. 

 

Tenancy Approval will be based in part by:

  • Credit Check
  • Background / Criminal Search
  • Rental / Eviction History
  • Employment / Income Verification
  • Previous Landlord Referral
